NANCY'S HAND-DRAWN MAP (Northwest at Bottom):
During her visit to Ireland in the winter of 2000-2001, Nancy visited the ancient home of Sir Anthony Colclough, a remote ancestor. Elizabeth I gave Tintern Abbey to Sir Anthony in grateful payment for his long years of service to the crown. A Colclough family member lived at the site through the mid 20th Century. It opened in 1999 as a tourist site managed by the Irish Tourism Board. When Nancy revealed her ancestry the staff obviously took to her.
